Minority Report

2024
Back to Education Packs

In 2050, neuroscientist Dame Julia Anderton is about to launch the next phase of her pioneering Pre-Crime programme, detaining people for crimes before they are committed.

However, when Julia is accused of pre-murder, she’s in a race against time to save herself from her own system. Written by David Haig, based on the short story by Philip K. Dick, Minority Report is a high octane, science fiction roller coaster that challenges our beliefs about justice and freewill in a real-time chase through London of the future. This pack is written from a theatre maker’s perspective and we hope it provides some interesting insights into how a production like Minority Report is created and staged. You will find information about theatrical design elements, along with additional resources to explore some of the themes and issues raised within this thought provoking production.
