Musiko Musika’s programme at the Lyric gives children, young people, families and communities the chance to learn about music from around the world and enjoy learning, creating and playing music together. Directed by Chilean musician and composer Mauricio Venegas-Astorga and the British musician Rachel Pantin, we have an excellent team of musicians from diverse cultures and backgrounds who are skilled in educating and developing young musicians.

With our World Music Academy young children start their musical journey through a Do Re Mi Fa class, learn an instrument or diversify their skills through our WMA Strings and Percussion, and ECCO First Steps, or extend their skills and experience the joy of playing in an ECCO orchestra (Ethnic Contemporary Classical Orchestras).
