Iphigenia in SplottBy Gary Owen
“What is gonna happen, when we can’t take it anymore?”
Stumbling down the street drunk at 11.30am Effie is the kind of girl you avoid making eye contact with. You think you know her, but maybe you don’t know the half of it.
Effie’s life is a mess of drink, drugs and drama every night, and a hangover worse than death the next day – till one night gives her the chance to be something more.
Inspired by the enduring Greek myth, Gary Owen’s powerful and ever more relevant monodrama returns to London in this critically acclaimed production directed by Rachel O’Riordan.
Contains strong language and themes of an adult nature.
Iphigenia in Splott is a one person show performed to a socially distanced audience. All available seats are in groups of one, two, three, and four. You can attend as a group of up to four if you share a household or are in a shared support bubble. If you would like to book for a group larger than four, please contact our Box Office to enquire about your options.
We have put together a list of frequently asked questions that should explain all of the safety measures we have put in place so we can welcome audiences back to the theatre from January 2021. You can read them here.
