Acting Up (ages 14 – 17)
Calling all 14-17 year olds in West London!
Join our Acting Up class to further develop your understanding about how theatre is created and performed, including the use of scripts and devising original drama. Over 10 weeks, you will explore the stimulus of a chosen Lyric Hammersmith main house show, in form, theme, message, and artistic choices. Led by two directors, you will work with your class to create a new piece of theatre that creatively responds to your stimulus. You will learn about different theatre styles, practitioners and how to hone your performance skills including voice, movement and use of space and interaction. You will have the chance to perform this original work to family and friends at the end of term!
