Beginners Keyboard Class

This keyboard class is for complete beginners. Pupils will be given their own keyboard to use at the Lyric each week and, for health and safety, we will ask students to bring their own headphones and we will supply a headphone connector. (Please note headphones cannot be wireless).

Pupils can expect to learn how to play simple pieces in a fun and supportive environment with a focus on learning the basics of technique, rhythm and musical notation. Wherever possible, children should have their own keyboard at home to practice on. There is an expectation that ALL pupils attend EVERY rehearsal.

Please note:

• The Lyric is committed to making our classes accessible to all, and we are offering a limited number of bursary places for classes, which you can find out more about and apply for here. Please be aware that Tri-borough bursary places are not available for this term, as they are allocated for three terms (a full academic year) ending in July 2025.
• Classes will not run during half term.
