Learn how to confidently and efficiently use GarageBand for the iMac to create beats and compositions, and how to mix and balance the different instrumental elements into a final product.

Main objectives
The main objective of this course is to learn how to confidently and efficiently use GarageBand for the iMac to create beats and compositions, and how to mix and balance the different instrumental elements into a final product.

What will you learn?
You will learn how to create music from different genres (Rap, Grime, Drill, Rock/Pop) using GarageBand’s Apple Loops library, various synthesizers, drum machines, and plugins.

What will you do?
You will have access to a MacBook Air and a copy of GarageBand, each week you will take part in an interactive lesson where you will be given step by step demonstrations from your teacher. You will be given free time to practise and apply new skills to your own compositions, and you will receive regular guidance and feedback on your work.

What are the benefits of joining?
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a fun and creative lesson where you will learn new, transferable skills and collaborate with other young people from different schools in the Tri-borough area.
