Free SEND Tickets to our Festive Season!

The Lyric Hammersmith Theatre are offering FREE tickets* for young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to select relaxed performances of our Pantomime, Aladdin, and our production of Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas!

This year, we are inviting young people with SEND from schools, community groups, and families in select London boroughs* to attend our relaxed performances to the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’s Christmas shows for free.

These tickets are kindly supported by John Lyon’s Charity.

Aladdin (age recommendation 6+)

By Sonia Jalaly, directed by Nicholai La Barrie

You are invited to soar above the streets of Hammersmith with our panto heroes Aladdin and Jasmine for an adventure you won’t forget! Following the success of Jack and the Beanstalk in 2022, award-winning writer Sonia Jalaly and director Nicholai La Barrie join forces once again to bring us a brand new take on the story we all know and love, with added chart-topping tunes, side-splitting comedy and a fresh yet familiar Lyric twist.

Father Christmas (age recommendation under 6)

Join Santa as he awakes from a dream of sun, sea and sand only to find it is the busiest day of the year: Christmas Eve.

Watch as he prepares for his Christmas deliveries, feeds his reindeer and finally takes flight into the snowy night. Back for another brilliant year, Christmas isn’t Christmas without this Lyric family favourite, co-produced with the Olivier Award-nominated Pins & Needles Productions.

What is a Relaxed Performance?

Relaxed performances are specifically planned and programmed to welcome young people  who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including young people on the Autistic Spectrum, young people  with sensory and communication needs or parents who want to attend our performances with young children.

The show will have the following adjustments:

  • There will be a social story and easy read story available for the show
  • The auditorium will open earlier than usual
  • The actors will come on stage before the show to introduce themselves
  • You will be able to leave and re-enter the auditorium as you like and there will be breakout spaces available
  • You will be able to talk and make noise
  • All sound will be played at a lower volume and some house lights will stay on during the show
  • Some stage effects and stage effects will be adjusted
  • Some auditorium doors may stay open

Who are these free tickets for?

  • These tickets are available to anyone who would benefit from the above adjustments
  • *These tickets are only available for SEND young people who live in or attend schools in the following London boroughs:
