Our Impact Report, published in June 2024, articulates the work we have done from April 2022 – March 2024.
We are immensely proud of the Lyric team for all that we have achieved together since we reopened our doors and are so grateful to our supporters, especially our major funders, Arts Council England and Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Most of all, we wish to thank our audiences and the people of West London, without whom, we would simply not exist.
This Impact Report looks at the Lyric’s body of work across two years (1 April 2022-31 March 2024). A period of time that saw us come out of pandemic closure to sold out shows, West End transfers and an Olivier award nomination. A time in which we have pushed ourselves further than ever before to grow our business and contribute to creating a better, fairer and more creative community, strengthening and reaffirming our role and responsibility as West London’s leading arts organisation. Importantly, we see the impacts explored in this report as belonging to the heart of the Lyric: our community of staff, audiences, participants and supporters.
We have framed our report around five key themes:
- Welcoming everyone – encouraging engagement with the Lyric
- Investing in the next generation of professional theatre makers – providing pathways into and through the theatre industry
- Promoting creativity – increasing access and opportunity for young people in West London
- Cultivating community – being a place of creative collaboration in Hammersmith & Fulham
- Supporting environmental sustainability – advocating for our planet
