Find out more about our School Bookings
Q: What is the recommended age for your productions?
The recommended age for each show changes from performance to performance. Please do double check on the page of the show that you’re interested in attending to confirm the age guidance.
Q: How will I receive my tickets?
After we receive full payment, you will be sent through a single group e-voucher for entry to the show. You wouldn’t need individual tickets for each student and we are unable to print physical tickets for your school.
Q: Will my group be sat together?
Where possible, we will seat your group in one big booking, however we may have to split your party slightly to accommodate other bookings or to be split across multiple levels. Please note that we require a member of staff to be sat with each group, preferably to a minimum ratio of 1:10 and we do not allow under 14s to be sat alone.
Q: Where can we meet our students on the day?
If you are arranging to meet your students at the theatre, please arrange to meet them outside the main Box Office, with the full group heading into the venue at once. Please do not arrange to meet in the Box Office itself as it is a small and shared space.
Q: If there is somewhere they can eat lunch?
If you would like to eat lunch at the theatre, please contact schools@lyric.co.uk who can confirm if we have availability for you.
Q: Will snacks, drinks and/or ice cream be on sale on the day?
A selection of snacks, drinks or ice-creams will be available for sale on the day. However to guarantee that we have a wide enough selection for your group, we recommend pre-ordering your ice-creams in advance. Please contact schools@lyric.co.uk if you would like to do this.
Q: Will programmes for sale on the day?
Where available, programmes, playtexts and merchandise will be available for sale on the day. However to guarantee that we have enough stock in for your group, we recommend pre-ordering your programmes in advance. Please contact schools@lyric.co.uk if you would like to do this.
Q: We’re travelling the theatre via coach or van. Is there on-site parking available?
Please note that the Lyric Hammersmith does not have any onsite parking and there is no designated coach parking nearby; it is our recommendation that any visit to the Lyric Hammersmith is made via public transport.
Q: There has been a change to the number of tickets that we require. Is it possible to get a refund for those who can’t make it or add additional seats?
You are free to make an amend to your booking at any point before final payment is received (pending availability). If you would want to reduce the numbers after we’ve received full payment, all returned seats will be processed as credit attached to your account and we’re unable to refund back to the school. If you would want to add to the numbers after we’ve received full payment, you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance.
Q: How do you use credit?
If you have credit attached to your school’s account, the Box Office team should inform you along with your initial invoice. Credit can be used against any ticket and pre-ordered ice-creams or merchandise. Please note that credit is applied to the school and not to the individual teacher or class, and as such any staff member as part of the school can access the credit.
Q: How do we confirm our seat details?
Your exact seats are not confirmed until final payment has been received and your reservation may change position in the auditorium to greater accommodate other bookers. To finalise your exact seats, please do arrange for early payment.
Q: How can we pay for our reservation?
Once your enquiry has been confirmed, you will receive an invoice for payment. We require a 20% payment of your deposit within ten working days of receipt of the invoice, and the final 80% no later than ten working days from the performance date itself. If you are making your reservation by one month prior to the performance, we will require full payment either 10 days after receipt of the invoice or ten working days from the performance (whichever is sooner).
If you are interested in booking with less than 10 working days until the performance in question, the schools team will be in touch with a personalised payment plan.
Please note:
- We require full payment before the performance start date. If we have not received full payment you will not be granted access into the auditorium.
- Without payment being received by the stated due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking with little or no notice.
