Give without spending

Theatres across the UK are in crisis and facing unprecedented challenges to survive. As a charity, the loss of all income from ticket sales, classes, our bar, restaurant, hires and other activities represents a significant financial shock for the Lyric.

Your support is more important than ever. Any donation, no matter how small, will help us emerge from this crisis strong enough to continue our vital work on stage and in our community.

Here are a few ways you can help the Lyric survive the COVID-19 closure without any additional cost to yourself:

Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax payer, you can increase any donations you have made this year, and for the past four years, by 25% just by ticking a box. Completing a Gift Aid declaration is one of the many easy ways to support us. If you would like to do this please email development@lyric.co.uk

Donate your ticket
If you are getting a refund for a cancelled performance, then please consider donating all or part of the cost of your ticket.

Facebook Fundraiser
During the Lyric’s 125th birthday year, you can use your birthday or special occasion to set up a fundraiser with the money coming directly to us. When you create a new post on Facebook, select the ‘Support charity’ option and then search ‘Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’ to find us.

Easy Fundraising
Sign up to easy fundraising, and you could turn your everyday online shopping into free donations for us. More than 1,000 online retailers, including John Lewis, eBay, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, AA and RAC are part of the scheme. When shopping online, first visit easyfundraising.org.uk, then shop as normal. The retailers will then make a small donation to us to say “thank you”.

Amazon Smile
Next time you buy something on Amazon, go to smile.amazon.co.uk and search for ‘Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’. You can access the same range of items and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to us.

From everyone at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, thank you for your support. The Lyric has been at the heart of the theatre industry and our community for 125 years. Now is the time for us all to support each other and we look forward to welcoming our community back to our theatre as soon as we can.
