MAYBE WE’RE MORE

The Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is looking for 10 16-21 year old performers to take part in ‘MAYBE WE’RE MORE’, a creative response project to FANGIRLS.

Over two weeks, led by director Grace Gibson, you will creatively explore the themes of our upcoming Main House show, the UK premiere of the multi-award winning, pop musical phenomenon FANGIRLS. You will work as a company to create a brand new short musical in response to the show, and you will get the chance to perform this to an invited audience on Saturday 24 August at 6pm at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre Studio!

What are we looking for?

  • 16-21 year olds who feel confident singing, dancing and acting. You do not need to be able to read music or have a dance background to do this project, just the confidence to perform in front of an audience
  • You should have a passion for musical theatre! We are interested in your creativity, passion and imagination, above formal experience.
  • This opportunity to open to anyone and the group will be selected by audition.
  • We are particularly interested in hearing from those who are, part of the LGBTQ+ community, those from low-income households, those in care, are care leavers, or are carers. This is not a definitive & complete list, you may belong to none, one, or several of these groups, and we highly encourage you to apply if you feel interested in the project.
