An Evening with Stephen Mangan
A fundraising event for our SPRINGBOARD programme.Join the Chair of the Lyric, Lorraine Heggessey, for an intimate evening in our Studio with actor Stephen Mangan who returns to the Lyric after a 17 year break when he appeared in The Magic Carpet as a ‘cocky’ thief.
Stephen has performed on stage in award-winning productions in London’s West End and on Broadway where he was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in Norman Conquests. He also starred as heartthrob Guy Secretan in the BAFTA-winning Channel 4 comedy Green Wing and in many other comedy and drama series including Episodes and The Split. He’s also a regular host of Have I Got News For You.
His brilliant career as an actor, comedian, presenter and writer makes him the perfect Lyric alumnus to answer questions from the Lyric SPRINGBOARD trainees to inspire them in their creative careers as well as from the audience.
This is a fundraising event in support of SPRINGBOARD, our ground-breaking, free two-year training programme that aims to find, shape, inspire, champion and sustain the next generation of performers from underrepresented backgrounds.
This event is raising funds for the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre (Registered Charity No. 278518).
