The Real Me
The American theatre company Brio Theatre and Austrian dance company Ich Bin O.K will each present a dance workshop.
Brio Theatre from the USA will be doing an international exchange of their practices alongside members of AMICI. They will present an extract from their play The Real Me as well as a discussion surrounding the film of the production – they will then lead a workshop based on their practices.
Ich Bin O.K. from Austria will present one of their infamous hiphop dance workshops which will get everyone off their feet and joining in. This workshop brings your body closer to the ground and air. We will do exercises to get a sense of centre of gravity, momentum and spatial awareness. This “feeling” is a prerequisite for the many different acrobatic movements.
