REWIND

REWIND is our FREE intervention programme which works in partnership with West London education providers to support young people aged 11-16yrs who are identified as ‘at-risk’ of leaving education as a result of their complex behavioural and emotional needs.

The programme uses theatre based activities to build character traits that will equip the young people with tools to deal with their difficult personal challenges. It aims to increase their perseverance and raise their aspiration by motivating participants to re-engage with and take responsibility for their own learning. Through this project they will gain a Bronze Arts Award and explore literacy in a creative and accessible way.

The Lyric’s REWIND programme aims to reduce young people’s chances of being permanently excluded from education by intervening when they are at risk of dis-engaging with education.

Our current Summer programme is in partnership with Westside School.

If you are a school who would like to work in partnership and refer a cohort of young people please contact us.

REWIND is made possible by the support of generous individuals and trusts and foundations. Thanks to BBC Children in Need and John Thaw Foundation.
