Cultural Recovery Fund
We are delighted to announce that we have received a grant from the government’s Cultural Recovery Fund. This vital support will help secure our immediate future through to March 2021. We are grateful to HM Treasury, the DCMS and the Arts Council for this financial support, which acknowledges the importance of the theatre industry to the UK.
This grant will help ensure we can continue our work by employing freelancers to create world-class theatre, providing opportunities for young people and welcoming our audience back to safely experience live theatre again.
The Lyric is facing its biggest challenge in the theatre’s 125-year history. We know that this grant is only part of the solution for us and that we will continue to need the support of our wider community and stakeholders over the coming months and beyond as we work to reopen and rebuild the Lyric in these challenging times. We will continue to work hard to ensure we stay at the heart of Hammersmith, passionately serving our community and the wider theatre industry. We are grateful to all our supporters including Hammersmith & Fulham Council, for their continued commitment to the Lyric during this challenging time.
