Callout for Black actors to participate in monologue showcase
We are looking for BLACK ACTORS, aged 18 - 25, who live or study in West London to participate in a monologue showcase that will take place at our upcoming festival: FOR THE CULTURE: CELEBRATIONS OF BLACKNESS.
We define West London as the following boroughs: Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea, Richmond upon Thames, Wandsworth and Westminster.
The showcase will take place on SATURDAY 29 JANUARY from 2 – 4pm in our Main House, in front of an audience of agents, casting directors, friends, family, and the wider community. The showcase will include a panel discussion between leading black actors, where you’ll get the chance to ask them questions, and hear their thoughts and advice on building a career as a black actor today.
To apply, send us a 3-minute video of yourself performing a monologue from our curated list here, or you are more than welcome to apply with a monologue of your own choice. We’re not fussed about what you choose to perform, but it should be from a published play – as long as you’re excited by the monologue and you think it will showcase your talent!
Your entry
Please state the following at the top of your video, before your monologue:
Name
Age
Borough
The name of the monologue you’ll be performing
Applications are open from WEDNESDAY 15 DECEMBER 2021 and close on MONDAY 03 JANUARY 2022 at 11:59pm.

Eligible participants must be aged 18 – 25 at the time of application, live or study in West London and be available on Saturday 29 January.
