Full Casting for Faustus: That Damned Woman Announced

Today, we share the full cast joining the already announced Jodie McNee and Danny Lee Wynter in Faustus: That Damned Woman. 

Full casting has been announced for Faustus: That Damned Woman, a new play from the award-winning theatre maker Chris Bush. The production is the first in a long-term commitment to commissioning and producing work of scale by women playwrights – in collaboration with Headlong and association with Birmingham Rep.

Joining the previously announced Jodie McNee as Johanna Faustus and Danny Lee Wynter as Mephistopheles are: Katherine Carlton, Alicia Charles, Emmanuella Cole, Barnaby Power and Tim Samuels. 

Caroline Byrne directs this radical new work in which the iconic character of Faustus is reimagined as a woman who makes the ultimate sacrifice to traverse centuries and alter the course of history. The creative team include set designer Ana Inés Jabares-Pita, costume designer Line Bech, lighting designer Richard Howell, sound and composition designer Giles Thomas, video and projection designer Ian William Galloway, movement director Shelley Maxwell, casting director Annelie Powell CDG and associate director Ebenezer Bamgboye.

The play will premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre on 22 January 2020 before touring.
