Ghost Stories Cast Q&A: Preston Nyman

We caught up with Preston Nyman to find out more about what it's like performing in Ghost Stories...

How does performing in Ghost Stories compare to other shows you have performed in?

The reward as an actor is far greater than any other show as far as I’m concerned – the audience are so on board to be scared that from the moment the enter the theatre they’ve already worked themselves up. It makes the responses to the show not only far more immediate, but also way more vocal than any play I’ve ever seen.

In three words, how would you describe Ghost Stories?

BIG SCARY FUN.

Do you believe in ghosts?

Not at all! Apart from Casper. Casper the Friendly Ghost is 100% real and I won’t hear otherwise.

Have you ever had a paranormal experience?

Never! I stayed in a B&B in Torquay that had definite Whistle And I’ll Come To You vibes, but nothing happened!

Out of the cast and creative team – who is the most jumpy?

Definitely Joe Murphy, the associate director. The boy scares too easy! How he got the show up and running is a miracle.
