Lyric Fest to feature Jude Law onstage with Lyric Young Artists

Lyric Fest will feature Mel Giedroyc, Nathan Bryon, Jude Law, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Joe Stilgoe, Shappi Khorsandi and many more.

Today we’ve put tickets on sale for Lyric Fest, the Lyric’s 2017 Fundraising Gala which will take place on Sunday 24 September.

Lyric Fest is curated by our Artistic Director Sean Holmes, who said: ‘This Gala celebrates the unique vision of the Lyric as a home to the highest quality theatre and the best inspirational work with young people. All that is great about the Lyric celebrated over one great night and securing a fundraising legacy that will support the next generation of diverse young artists.’

Lyric Fest will see an unforgettable night of entertainment hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Lyric alumni, Nathan Bryon.

The show features performances from Jude Law, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Joe Stilgoe and Shappi Khorsandi, appearing alongside young actors, writers and theatre-makers who have come through the Lyric’s young peoples’ programmes.

The Lyric hosts a biennial Fundraising Gala in order to raise funds that help to deliver and grow the Lyric’s important work in supporting a diverse new generation of artists and creatives.

We are committed to working with exciting artists and young people to create innovative and exceptional performances and projects. Over the past decade the we have established a national and international reputation for our work with young people. Last Decemember we celebrated 10 years of START, a theatre based programme for vulnerable young people struggling to engage with education, employment or training.

We’re committed to giving young people from all backgrounds access to the arts in order to develop their creative, social, personal and economic potential.
